UPDATE 2nd January- The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner.
Officers attended Acklam Road in Middlesbrough at around 12.40am on Saturday morning (30th December) following concerns for the welfare of a man.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s family have been informed and our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.
At this stage, the man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post mortem is due to take place.
