Police are appealing for information or dash cam footage after a pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a collision in Eston.
The 54-year-old man was walking westbound on the High Street, near the Miners Arms Pub, at around 9.45pm on Monday night (2nd January) when he was in collision with a Nissan X Trail which was being driven in a westbound direction.
The man sustained serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to James Cook University Hospital where he remains receiving treatment.
Officers are appealing for any direct witnesses to the collision, or drivers who were at the location and who may have dash cam footage to get in touch.
In particular, we would urge the driver of a small white car (possibly a Fiat Punto or similar) to contact police as they may have useful information or footage to assist ongoing enquiries.
Please upload any footage here: https://orlo.uk/NLGUH
Any other witnesses are asked to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref SE23001102.
