Police are seeking witnesses and dash cam footage after a 24-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured on Skelton High Street.
The incident took place near to the junction with Byland Road last night, Friday 30th June.
A white BMW 3 series M Sport collided with the pedestrian at 10:07pm, leaving the 24-year-old with a broken shoulder, several breaks to his right arm, substantial facial injures and potentially a broken back.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he is currently being treated in ICU for his injuries.
The BMW did not remain at the scene but was located by police shortly after the incident.
