Appeal to Trace Child after Reported Robbery

Police are appealing to trace a child after a report was made to officers of a robbery by a member of the public.

A report was made that a male child possibly around 10-15 years old was approached by a male who produced a knife and took a bottle of water from the child.

The incident happened around 7:50am on Thursday 20^th July on Ormesby Road near to Unity City Academy/the TAD Centre.

Officers are appealing to locate the child in order to check on his welfare and speak to him about the reported incident.

A 39-year-old man has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place and possession of an offensive weapon. He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today (Friday 21^st July).
