Officers from the Proactive Team attended an address in the Victoria Road area of Thornaby on Saturday 8th July.
On entering the property, they discovered a substantial cannabis farm, which is believed to have an estimated street value of up to £100,000.
There was no one at the address and enquiries are currently ongoing.
Sergeant Darren Williamson said: “The Proactive Team have located and dismantled several cannabis farms over recent weeks. This has been achieved by acting on information provided by members of the public or through the organisation building its own intelligence.
“We will continue to cause disruption to those engaged in organised criminality which blights our communities and place those responsible before the courts.
“The public should be assured that we will act on information that is provided to us and those involved in criminal activity should be assured that while we may not get to visit you today or we may not get to visit you tomorrow, we will get to visit you sometime soon.”
If you have any information about criminal activity in your area, please contact us on 101.
