There have been 40 reported residential burglaries in the Stockton area since 1st June, with the majority of the access gained through insecure doors and windows.
The hotspot areas include Thornaby, Stockton town centre and Billingham south, primarily between the hours of 9pm and 4am.
Property including keys, cash, mobile phones, tools, bikes, electronic devices and clothing have been reported stolen.
Sheds and garages have also been targeted.
