Appeal after Incident in Redcar

Officers are appealing after a man suffered a minor stab wound in Redcar.

Around 8:20pm on Wednesday 14^th June, officers received a report of an altercation involving two groups, one group of two teenagers and one group of three adults, on Redcar beach close to the vertical pier.

When police arrived a 42-year-old man had suffered a minor stab wound to his stomach, which did not require hospital treatment.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and he has been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
