Officers are appealing after a man suffered a minor stab wound in Redcar.
Around 8:20pm on Wednesday 14th June, officers received a report of an altercation involving two groups, one group of two teenagers and one group of three adults, on Redcar beach close to the vertical pier.
When police arrived a 42-year-old man had suffered a minor stab wound to his stomach, which did not require hospital treatment.
A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and he has been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
Any witnesses are asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 115341.
