Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after an incident involving a group of males in Whinney Banks, Middlesbrough.
Officers received a report of six males armed with a bladed weapon who had chased a male in the Whinney Banks area and assaulted him around 5:15pm on Monday 19th June, leaving the 23-year-old man with an injury to his head which required hospital treatment. He has now been discharged from hospital.
The incident is believed to have happened in the area of Whinney Banks Road.
The males made off from the scene and enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.
Officers are appealing for information from anyone who saw the incident or anyone who may have CCTV or dash cam footage from the area which may assist the investigation.
