Enquiries are underway after two incidents in Stockton yesterday. Police are currently examining any possible link between the incidents.
At around 4pm on Thursday 1st June police received an initial report of two males seen acting suspiciously near the post office on Rimswell Road.
Response officers were en route when a second report was made that the men had entered the shop armed with a weapon and demanded money.
They are believed to have fled empty handed in a small black car.
Earlier that day at 7.40am at a post office in Redhill Road, Stockton, a man armed with a weapon threatened staff with violence and then stole a large amount of cash from tills.
While no arrests have been made at this stage, detectives are carrying out numerous lines of enquiry into both incidents.
We would appeal for anyone with information/dashcam or cctv footage which could help to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 105275 for the Redhill Road incident and 105559 for the Rimswell Road incident.
