A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with two robberies and he was remanded to appear at court earlier today (Monday 12th June).
The first incident happened on Friday afternoon (9th June) when a robbery took place at a store on Grange Road, Middlesbrough. A man reported he had been assaulted before cash was stolen from the till.
And the following afternoon (Saturday 10th June) a 51-year-old man reported he had been assaulted and robbed of cash, a mobile phone and some shopping near Lawson Industrial Estate.
The suspect was arrested less than an hour later and was interviewed by detectives from Middlesbrough CID, then charged and remanded until his court appearance.
