The 23-year-old man arrested in connection with an attack on a teenage girl in Middlesbrough, has been charged with Attempted Murder. He has been remanded in custody.
The incident happened at around 3pm on Thursday 22 June on Premier Road, when a 15-year-old girl was stabbed by a man. The girl was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious injuries. She remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The victim and offender were known to each other, and Cleveland Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information or was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to Cleveland Police, is asked to get in touch.
