A man has been given a 26-week prison sentence after being found in possession of a knife on Stockton High Street.
Michael Fawcett, aged 38, of no fixed abode was stopped on the High Street on Monday 12th June in possession of a lock knife.
He was arrested and charged and attended Teesside Magistrates Court on Tuesday 13th June, where he was given a 26-week custodial sentence.
Those who carry knives will be dealt with robustly.
