As Safeguarding Awareness Week (child safety) continues - did you know we have many specialist officers whose remit is to work with parents, carers, families and our partner agencies?
They investigate concerns and allegations, promote children’s rights, safety and wellbeing.
In just the first five months of this year, our officers attended 1,420 strategy meetings.
And in the same period they took part in 345 Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC).
This is a meeting between parents/carers, the child/young person if appropriate, and advocates and professional agencies who are involved with the child and family.
At these meetings the partners share information, assess any risks and formulate a plan of management – all to safeguard children and young people.
Remember: safeguarding children and young people is everyone’s responsibility.
You can report concerns to Cleveland Police at any time via 101, or online: https://orlo.uk/njwl4
