A teenager has lost his main form of transport after being robbed of his electric mountain bike.
At around 1am on Saturday 10th June, the 17 year old student was on his black Giant Fathom E+2 hardtail 29er e MTB on Cargo Fleet lane near its junction with Fulbeck Road and the Go Local shop when he was followed then approached by three males.
They were all in balaclavas and all three were on one black moped with no lights on and no registration plate.
They pulled alongside him near the bus stop on Cargo Fleet Lane, towards the roundabout with Normanby Road, and one suspect grabbed him, pulling him from his bike.
The victim was then threatened by another of the suspects, who he believed was holding a knife.
The bike was then taken, with one male riding it away and the moped was also ridden away from the scene.
One suspect had a blue balaclava on, one was wearing a green camouflage jacket and the suspect who pulled the victim from the bike had blonde curly hair sticking out from his balaclava.
The 17 year old was left very shaken by his ordeal.
We would appeal for anyone with information/dashcam/cctv which could help our on-going enquries to get in touch.
