The force knife crime awareness campaign continued with PC Geoff Coggin delivering a presentation to year 7 and 8 pupils of Manor Academy in Hartlepool this morning.
The area covered by Cleveland Police is now the second highest in the UK for knife crime, second only to West Midlands police force and higher than The Met.
Pupils heard the stark message today that almost a third of all of the knife crime victims in this area are aged 11-24... and this needs to change!
