Popular Hartlepool Constable Geoff Coggin visited students aged 16-18 at Hartlepool Sixth Form College this morning as part of their Stay Safe Roadshow.
Coggy gave a talk to the students on the issue of knife crime on Teesside, explaining to the youngsters that a rise in the number of incidents involving a knife, particularly among the younger generation is cause for concern in Cleveland.
The stark message is 'Carrying a Blade Doesn't Give You an Edge', don't carry a knife and seek help if you believe that someone you know is carrying one.
The sessions continued with an input from Cleveland Police's Cyber Protect & Prevent Officer, Kelly Close, on how to stay safe online, and personal safety messages around drink spiking and 'Ask Angela' to stay safe whilst enjoying nights out.
