A man has been arrested by police after a burglary was reported at Subway off the Trunk Road in Eston.
Officers from Cleveland Police Dog Unit, response and the police drone combined efforts to detain the man after the report in the early hours of this morning, Friday 24th November.
CCTV spotted a male making off near to the Herlingshaw Centre around 1am.
Police Dog Kuro and handler PC Whitehouse attended the scene to search for the male, along with the police drone and response officers.
A heat source was detected within a wooded area but could not confirm whether it was the male.
PD Kuro went into the area to search further and a man was located hiding in long grass/bushes. Officers recovered suspected stolen items.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of four counts of burglary and two counts of theft from a shop. He remains in police custody at this time.
