A man has been arrested following a serious two-vehicle collision in Eston which took place on Wednesday 15th November.
The collision happened on Eston High Street at the junction with Birchington Avenue shortly after 3pm, involving a white Mercedes and a white Renault van.
The female driver of the Mercedes, aged 29, suffered life-threatening injuries to her head and pelvis, and she was taken to James Cook University Hospital where she remains whilst receiving treatment.
The driver of the Renault suffered minor injuries.
A man aged in his sixties was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has now been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
