A man has been charged after officers from the Proactive Team located a cannabis farm in Middlesbrough.
Officers attended an address on Grasby Close in Park End on Thursday 30th November and recovered 50 cannabis plants which has an estimated value of £42,000.
The electricity had been bypassed and the property was made safe by colleagues from the electricity board.
A 44-year-old man was arrested and charged with production of cannabis and abstracting electricity and he was remanded in custody. He is due to appear in court today (1st December).
A 66-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and she has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
