A 41-year-old man from Loftus has been remanded in custody after being charged with robbery.
He appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Thursday 9th November, where he was remanded to appear at Crown Court on 7th December.
The charge followed a report that a man aged in his twenties was allegedly robbed when his bike was stolen and he was taken to a cash point on Bonfire Night, Sunday 5 November, on Loftus High Street.
A second man aged 36 was also arrested in connection with the incident and was bailed whilst enquiries continue.
