Today’s planned, peaceful protest activity in Middlesbrough town centre has passed without incident (Sunday 5th November).
We have been working with the organisers and the local authority to plan the police response and officers attended in order to facilitate the peaceful protest, keep disruption to the local community to a minimum and ensure everyone’s safety.
Around 1,500 people attended and we would like to thank the local community, businesses and everyone involved for their patience and support whilst the protest took place.
