Following some intelligence-led proactive patrols, officers from Stockton’s Community Action Team (CAT) discovered some drugs in a vehicle on Bassleton Lane in Thornaby.
This led to the search of an address and officers recovered a further amount of drugs, believed to be cocaine and cannabis, along with a large quantity of cash.
A 56-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and possession of criminal property.
They have since both been bailed pending further enquiries.
