Detectives are appealing after two attempted burglaries at stores in Middlesbrough, which are believed to be linked.
The first incident happened around 5:40am on Monday 9th October at the One Stop at Shelton Court, where a silver Vauxhall Corsa attempted to gain access by ramming the shop shutters.
No access was gained and the vehicle made off along Kenmore Road.
Two or three young males are believed to have been in the vehicle.
Around 1am today, Thursday 12th October, the same vehicle attempted to gain access to Sainsbury’s on Fosdyke Green, again this was unsuccessful and the young males in the vehicle made off.
This vehicle has now been recovered by police.
CCTV enquiries are ongoing and detectives would appeal for any witnesses or anyone who may have private CCTV footage in the areas around the times of the incidents to contact them on 101.
