Police are appealing for information after an incident on a bus which was travelling between Middlesbrough and Stockton at the time.
A woman reports she was on the X12 bus which goes to Durham and Newcastle yesterday (Thursday 19th October) between 5pm and 5.18pm when her bag was grabbed and she was racially abused by a man as she sat near the front of the bus.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, who was wearing all black clothing.
The woman got off the bus earlier than she had planned, in Stockton, and although she wasn’t physically harmed, she was left shaken.
We would appeal for any fellow passengers or anyone else with information to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 208584.
If you don’t want to speak to police you can pass information anonymously to www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by phoning 0800 555 111.
