Appeal to man who helped victim of alleged assault, Hartlepool.

Officers investigating a report of an assault are appealing for a man who was driving a white car in the area of Hazel Grove, Hartlepool to get in touch as he may have valuable information which could help our ongoing enquiries.

The man stopped to help a woman in the street at about 00:30 and 00:55 yesterday morning (Tuesday 17^th October) and he took her to Hartlepool Police Office to seek help.

A 52-year-old man was arrested in connection with the report and he was interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries.
