Day Five – International #ControlRoomWeek - Stay On the Line & Tell Us You’re Fine

We had 2,392 abandoned 999 calls in September in total – which amounts to around 79 calls a day.

Last week alone, 477 999 calls were abandoned. That’s 477 people we need to call back to check they are ok!

This takes valuable time away from our call handlers answering genuine 999 calls from people who need us.
