Yesterday, Wednesday 25th October, officers in Middlesbrough carried out two drugs warrants and seized suspected class A and class C drugs.
Officers from the Proactive Team, Neighbourhood Policing Team and Operational Support Unit carried out the warrants at properties on Garrett Walk and Petch Close, and served closure notices at both addresses, prohibiting anyone other than the registered tenants from attending the address for a 24-hour period.
At Garrett Walk, a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs after suspected cocaine, cash, phones and scales were recovered at the property. The man has been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
At Petch Close, a search led to the seizure of suspected class C drugs.
Police will be working with partner agencies from the local council, landlords and the local community to tackle ongoing issues of nuisance, disorder and criminality.
Local residents are encouraged to contact police to report drugs activity and incidents of criminality by calling 101, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111.
