Update on Wynyard Mews incident

A 46-year-old man who was arrested in connection with an incident at a property on Wynyard Mews in Hartlepool at 5:20am on Saturday 14^th October has been bailed pending further enquiries. He was recalled to prison in relation to a separate matter.

A 31-year-old woman who was also arrested in connection with the incident has since been released with no further action.

Officers were called to the property after a man, 44, suffered a significant injury to his face following a reported incident.

The injured man was taken to hospital for surgery where he currently remains. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
