Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team executed three drugs warrants on Baden Street in the town this morning.
Seven people were arrested from three properties on the street.
Two men aged 45 and 43 arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possession of criminal property.
One man aged 22 and a woman aged 31 both arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
A 31-year-old man and two women aged 26 and 35 were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
All were taken to police custody for questioning.
Class A drugs believed to be heroin and crack cocaine, a large quantity of cash, two cars and a knuckle duster were seized by officers.
Inspector Adrian Dack from Hartlepool Neighbourhood Team who led the operation, said: “This morning we executed a number of warrants under the misuse of drugs act as part of Operation Sycamore.
“We have listened to the community and our partners about drug dealing activity in the area and concerns around some vulnerable people who are being exploited by those dealing in drugs. From this, we have gathered intelligence which has led us to the activity in Baden Street today.
“Drugs not only ruins the lives of those who take them, the antisocial behaviour associated with those leading this lifestyle has a huge effect on those who live in these areas and blights the whole community.
“We want people in Hartlepool to be able to feel safe, and would urge them to contact us on 101 with any information they have on drugs activity where they live.”
