Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of people in Stockton.
The incident occurred at around 3.30am this morning (4th September) in the Zetland Road area of Stockton.
The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for a neck injury before being released.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information, relevant CCTV footage or anyone who witnessed the incident to contact PC Sophie Glover on 101, quoting reference number 176658.
