Detectives from Middlesbrough CID are appealing for witnesses to a robbery to come forward.
It happened around 2.10am on Wednesday 30th August at the junction of Wilson Street and Albert Road in the town.
A 28-year-old man reported that he was assaulted and robbed of his phone and money by two black males.
Enquiries have now confirmed there were several people in the area at that time and officers are urging any witnesses and people with dashcam or other footage to get in touch.
