We’re appealing for parents and carers in the Greater Eston and surrounding areas to check where their children are and what they’re doing after a number of serious incidents over the past few weeks.
Young children have been throwing bricks at passing vehicles, causing windows to smash.
Greater Eston Neighbourhood Police Team Inspector Zoe Kelsey said: “Throwing items at passing vehicles is a serious offence and it could have catastrophic consequences including serious injury or worse.
“We’re urging parents and carers to know where their children are at all times and to ensure they’re not committing criminal offences or antisocial behaviour.
“We will be carrying out extra patrols in the area and will take action against anyone suspected of taking part in ASB or crime.”
