Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the “throughabout” on the A66 eastbound, near to Cargo Fleet Lane, at around 10am on Saturday 16th September.
A grey VW Golf travelling east on the A66 main carriageway collided with a white Ford Puma travelling south from the A66, turning onto Cargo Fleet Lane at the lights.
The 46-year-old woman driving the Puma was cut out of the vehicle, before she was taken to James Cook University Hospital with a broken leg and a fractured collarbone.
The 19-year-old man driving the Golf was unhurt and arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.
