Officers from Hartlepool’s Neighbourhood Teams swooped on two addresses in Keswick Street in Hartlepool yesterday morning as part of a newly introduced monthly operation.
Four properties in the street were searched, with officers seizing heroin, class C drugs and a number of weapons.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug and a 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class C drug.
A third man attended Hartlepool Police Station voluntarily to be questioned by police.
In the afternoon officers carried out engagement activity at The Headland in the town to discuss the issue of off-road bikes.

Inspector Adrian Dack said: “Yesterday's activity is part of newly launched Operation Sycamore, which has been established to ensure a coordinated and proactive approach to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour and address concerns raised with us by residents of the town.
“Working closely with our local partners, the operation offers a joined-up approach to targeting criminals and proactively tackling the issues causing distress to those living in Hartlepool.
“Whether concerns are raised about antisocial behaviour, off-road bikes, drugs, serious violence and organised crime, we want our communities to know that we a listening and acting on the information and intelligence you provide to us.
“Your information and feedback is vital to ensure that we are targeting the right areas and the right issues.
“The operation will run regularly, so if you have information to provide about drugs activity, off-road bikes or suspicious activity then let us know.”
