It’s International Week of Deaf People this week and we’re supporting this important awareness week.
All our communities need and deserve to have access to help, advice and support from Cleveland Police; we firmly believe everyone should have a “voice” and feel connected and so we strive to support Deaf residents and visitors.
We’ve already taken steps to ensure Deaf people can contact the force in a more accessible way.
British Sign Language (BSL) users can now use SignLive to contact Cleveland Police when it’s not an emergency (just like the 101 non-emergency number).
SignLive can be used to report crimes or incidents which have already taken place, or to provide us with information about issues affecting their community.
