Man Arrested after Vehicle Failed to Stop for Police

A 23-year-old man has been arrested after a short pursuit through Norton in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 3^rd October.

Officers spotted a vehicle reportedly being driven at speed on Norton Avenue around 1:35am this morning. The vehicle made off and a short pursuit took place through Norton Green before the male abandoned the vehicle on the A1027 and made off on foot.

Police detained a 23-year-old man on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, drug driving, no insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and failing to stop.

The man has since been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
