Man arrested and electric motorbike seized in Stockton

Officers from Stockton’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) arrested a man and seized an electric motorbike after it attempted to make off from police.

The vehicle was seized by officers on Bader Avenue in Thornaby at around 5.45pm on Sunday 3^rd September after it drove off and collided with the police vehicle.

A quantity of Class A and B drugs, believed to be cocaine and cannabis, and a machete were also seized.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, drug driving, driving with no insurance and driving with no licence.

He currently remains in police custody.
