A man has been sentenced to four years in prison after officers found him in possession of crack cocaine and cannabis.
40-year-old Lee Paul Williams, from Thornaby, was stopped by officers on wasteland on Stockton Road in Middlesbrough and was searched and found in possession of drugs on 9th August.

15 bags containing class A crack cocaine were seized and a large amount of cannabis.
He was charged with possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs.
Williams appeared at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday 20th September and was sentenced to four years imprisonment.
Inspector Chris Hartshorne from Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Every day we have officers out on the streets of Middlesbrough working to disrupt the supply of drugs into the town. Drugs being brought into our towns won’t be tolerated and we are dedicated to tackling the issue. Those who think it’s acceptable will be put before the courts and brought to justice.
