We’re appealing for information or dashcam footage as we continue to investigate an incident where a cyclist sustained numerous injuries when he fell to the ground after an unidentified vehicle collided with the rear of his bike.
The driver didn’t stop to check the rider’s wellbeing and then drove from the scene.
The 53 year old cyclist received hospital treatment for broken bones in his hand and wrist, and he suffered broken teeth.
Anyone who was in the area of the A139 over bridge towards Billingham at around 10pm on Friday night (8th November) or drivers who may have captured the incident on their dashcam are urged to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number, quoting ref 214630.
