The first attempted burglary occurred at St Michael’s Church on Imperial Avenue at some time between 4pm on Saturday 7 December and 8am on Sunday 8 December.
A window was smashed and then offender/s have searched the church however no items are believed to have been stolen.
At some time between 10am on Monday 9 December and 10am on Tuesday 10 December burglars have smashed a window to gain entry to Norton Methodist Church on Norton Road.
Once inside, they have searched the porch and vestry area before fleeing without stealing any items.
Detectives are following numerous enquiries and encouraging members of the public to come forward if they saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area or have information.
They are also appealing for CCTV or dash cam footage that could assist with their investigation.
