Follow Sergeant Rory Sadler from Greater Eston's Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) as he and his team conduct a rural crime operation across the Redcar and Cleveland district.
Rural crime is not victimless - we previously spoke to farmer Chris Thompson about the huge financial and emotional impact this type of crime has on him and the whole rural crime community.
Some examples include:
• Poaching
• Hare coursing
• Theft of machinery and fuel
• Livestock worrying
• Attacks on animals
Our neighbourhood officers are working hard to tackle the issue through enforcement and proactive patrols but information from the public is key to help us to understand where our resources are needed.
Please call us on 101 with any information or independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by phone on 0800 555 111.
