At 2.25pm on Thursday 4 April police were called to reports of a stabbing on Central Avenue in Middlesbrough.
Officers, alongside air and land ambulance, attended to the scene and located a man with serious but not life threatening injuries.
He has been transported by land ambulance to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.
