Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a motorbike collided with a man using a wheelchair in Fairy Dell Park in Marton, Middlesbrough.
The incident happened around 3:10pm on Wednesday 28th August as the 26-year-old man made his way through the park in his electric wheelchair, which he uses due to a medical condition.
The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital with a number of dislocated joints, including a dislocated knee-cap, and was treated at hospital before being released yesterday evening.
The motorbike made off from the scene. The rear passenger was described as wearing a distinctive sky blue durag.
Officers believe there may have been others in the park at the time of the incident.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, may have footage or may have information regarding the bike, or those riding it, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 165954.
