Cleveland Police’s External Scrutiny Panel, which examines officers’ Use of Force and Stop and Search, met on the evening of 16th August 2024 at police HQ.
During the session, the panel reviewed and discussed recent incidents and looked at video recorded on cameras worn by officers on duty.
This latest session, which was also attended by HMIC, marked the second full year of the establishment of the panel.
The panel is made up of members of our community who scrutinise the work Cleveland Police does and give valuable feedback to officers, helping us to improve the service we provide.
The force is always seeking more volunteers to take part in the External Scrutiny Panel, which convenes every two months, rotating around the four local areas.
If you would like to submit an expression of interest in this volunteer role, please visit: Expression of Interest for External Scrutiny Panels (office.com)
