A 21-year-old man appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 7th August, charged with violent disorder.
This comes the day after twenty-eight people were due to appear in court following disorder which took place in central Middlesbrough on Sunday 4th August.
The man was part of 40 arrests made in connection with Middlesbrough’s disorder.
In addition, officers arrested a 19-year-old man in Hartlepool this morning on suspicion of violent disorder, in connection with disorder in Hartlepool on Wednesday 31st July. He has since been bailed with conditions pending further enquiries.
Cleveland Police has now arrested a total of 63 people in connection with the violent disorder across both Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.
