Officers from Middlesbrough Proactive Team were patrolling on Saltersgill Avenue in Middlesbrough yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 13th August) when they saw a man acting suspiciously in the passenger seat of a grey Audi A4.
Officers detained the 29-year-old man when he tried to make off from police and found a large amount of drugs, scales and cash.
He was arrested and later charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug (cocaine) and possession of a class B drug (cannabis).
He was remanded to appear at court this morning, Wednesday 14th August.
