Cleveland Police has released a number of images of people who need identifying in relation to the disorder in Middlesbrough on Sunday 4 August 2024.
Assistant Chief Constable, David Felton said:
“We are asking anyone who knows who these people are, to get in touch as soon as possible.
“As well as those in the images we are releasing now, Cleveland Police has more than 100 people yet to be identified in relation to the disorder across Hartlepool and Middlesbrough, and we are taking swift action to identify those people as soon as possible.
“For those who chose to take part in the violent disorder across Teesside, my message to you is this – Don’t think that because you have not been arrested yet that you won’t be. You will. You will be arrested, charged and put before the courts. There is nowhere to hide.
“Since the disorder, we have already arrested 68, charged 45 and five individuals have been sent to prison. If you chose to commit violence and cause harm on the streets of Hartlepool or Middlesbrough – you are next.
“As we go into the weekend, I want to make it clear that we will continue to identify and arrest those responsible for the disorder.
“I also would like to reassure communities that Cleveland Police is here for you. High visibility patrols will continue over the next few days to provide reassurance.
“Our officers will also continue to engage with all corners of the community, and I would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to officers in your area.”
Cleveland Police has not seen any large-scale disorder in the area since Sunday 4 August 2024.
