Three men due in court after being charged by Hartlepool CID

Three people are due to appear in court today after Hartlepool CID charged them with a number of offences.

Officers arrested two men following reports of people trying car doors on Oxford Street, Hartlepool, in the early hours of Wednesday morning (7^th August).

A 34-year-old man was charged with burglary, attempted burglary, two counts of vehicle interference, theft, theft of a vehicle, assaulting an emergency worker, and racially aggravated public order.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with two counts of vehicle interference and criminal damage. Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday 8^th August).

Detectives also charged a man in connection with an unrelated reported assault on Lime Crescent, Hartlepool, on Sunday 4^th August.

A 52-year-old man was charged with wounding with intent, common assault, affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He was remanded in custody to appear in court today.
