Three people are due to appear in court today after Hartlepool CID charged them with a number of offences.
Officers arrested two men following reports of people trying car doors on Oxford Street, Hartlepool, in the early hours of Wednesday morning (7th August).
A 34-year-old man was charged with burglary, attempted burglary, two counts of vehicle interference, theft, theft of a vehicle, assaulting an emergency worker, and racially aggravated public order.
A 41-year-old man has been charged with two counts of vehicle interference and criminal damage. Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday 8th August).
Detectives also charged a man in connection with an unrelated reported assault on Lime Crescent, Hartlepool, on Sunday 4th August.
A 52-year-old man was charged with wounding with intent, common assault, affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He was remanded in custody to appear in court today.
