Two men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle in the Middlesbrough area.
Around 4:50am today, Friday 6th September, officers received a call from a member of the public who had seen two men acting suspiciously in the Thornfield Road area. The men were challenged but then made off.
Officers responded and utilised the police drone to assist their search for the males.
An abandoned motorbike was also located, which had been reported stolen from an address in the Westgate Road area.
The men were detained a short distance away near Linden Grove and were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motorvehicle.
Both men, both aged 41, remain in police custody at this time whilst enquiries continue.
