Donna Conniff from Hartlepool was seen throwing rocks at officers during the violent disorder in Hartlepool on Wednesday 31st July.
The 40-year-old also encouraged others to do the same and was seen handing a rock to a child. She then approached the police cordon and kicked out at one of the officers.
Today, she has been sentenced to two years in prison at Teesside Crown Court.
